How Far Can FPV Drones Go?
Technically... over 60 miles... but that's also completely false xD
The range of an FPV drone depends on a TON of different factors. Having line of sight is huge, and things like antennas and radio link play a big role, but in in a real life scenario BATTERY is one of the biggest factors. Most FPV drones can only fly for 2-5 minutes, and that's heavily dependent on speed. So even if you were to go super far, you would also need enough battery to come back home. What most people don't realize is that you can strategically choose parts for your drone build to make it more efficient and go longer distances. Doing things like mountain dives are very common in FPV... and having a larger frame, larger props, less payload, and a proportionate battery are among the things you can do to stay in the air longer, and make it back home safely.
